Sonic Tapestries; Musical Ancestors & Descendants

The Juneteenth Legacy Project Presents:  Sonic Tapestries; Musical Ancestors & Descendants

Join our closing Black History Month celebration with Dr. Nnenna Ogwo, Founder and Artistic Director of The Juneteenth Legacy Project, a musical collaborative whose mission is to share the music of the African Diaspora through the unique lens of black classically trained musicians with a focus on access, outreach and community building through music.  Nnenna Ogwo, (pianist), Eric Cooper (cellist) and Erika Banks-Alvarez (soprano) will present a scintillating collection of works by past and contemporary composers from the African Diaspora.

A post-concert discussion with the musicians will conclude the program.
